Overview

The RAM® Universal Drill-Down Vehicle Laptop Mount (Legacy) (RAM-VBD-122-SW1) installs into most vehicles using self-tapping screws, or alternatively, by drilling and then bolting down the mount base to the vehicle*. This laptop mounting kit is telescoping, allowing users to adjust the height range from 12” to 18”. Dual swing arms provide articulation and 12” of reach for passenger and driver access to the mounted device. RAM® rubber ball and socket technology provides additional adjustability as well as shock and vibration isolation. This bundle features the legacy RAM® Tough-Tray™ laptop holder that accommodates 10" to 17" laptops (measured diagonally). The tray features four adjustable retaining arms with rubber grips that can be moved both vertically and horizontally. These arms allow for a custom fit for laptops of varying thickness while not blocking drives or ports. Upgrade your mounting kit with compatible accessories that are not included, such as the RAM® Adjustable Screen Support and RAM® Power Caddy. Integrated 2-hole AMPS mounting locations around the tray perimeter allow for easy attachment of accessories such as printers, handheld devices, or scanners. Does this SKU include the hardware needed to bolt the base down?

No, the hardware required to install this mount is not included. Because these are mounted to such a wide variety of vehicles and other applications we do not know what hardware to provide. The best resource for that type of information is usually a local hardware store or the manufacturer of the vehicle you are mounting to.
Good morning, Are we able to mount more than one arm on a pole (RAM-VBD-122-SW1)? We have a tough book which will work for this but also have another display that needs to be mounted. Thanks

We offer a kit similar to the RAM-VBD-SW1 but instead of having an additional swing arm there is a flange built into the upper tele pole that will serve as an additional attachment point. The RAM-VBD-122-WEST1 has the double swing arm, as well as a double socket arm kit with a 75x75mm VESA plate that is compatible with many heavy duty tablets and monitors, or the VESA plate can be swapped out for the RAM-202U if you're using RAM device holders.
