Overview
With the RAM® Tough-Track™, flat surface mounting possibilities are nearly endless for ATVs, cars, combines, motorboats, tractors, trucks, and more. The black anodized aluminum version of the RAM® Tough-Track™ can be drilled to any flat surface and is designed for use with #8 screws for easy installation – hardware not included. Made to be a dependable and rugged mounting solution, the anodized aluminum provides a smooth slide across the track and anti-corrosion protection. The RAM-TRACK-EXA-5BU features 5” of usable track length (aluminum portion), while the included top-loading end caps add about 1.5” in length to each end (3” of additional length). Using the end caps allows for two installation options: either use both top-loading end caps to create insertion points on both ends of the track, or use one top-loading end cap and close the opposite end with the included flush end cap. This RAM® Tough-Track™ is compatible with the RAM® Center Loader and 90 Degree Connector, as well as a wide variety of RAM® track bases to attach devices like action cameras, fishing rods, phones, and tablets.

Two Questions: 1) What is the gap height at the bottom of the rail profile’s centerline to the side flats? (Contrary to responses on other track length Q&A, the profile photos show symmetric side flats, with a concave feature centered between them). Would it be possible to fit some kind of shim stock / gasket / washer here to keep the mount surface from deforming under the bolted tension? 2) What are the sizes of the regular and slotted holes? Could you please put these common track details on the sell sheet?

From your description, RAM-TRACK-EXA-9BU, only one Flush End Cap is included. Do you have a part number to order more Flush End Caps? Thank you!
RAM-TRACK-EXA-9BU and RAM-TRACK-EXA-5BU both come with 2 flush end caps.

Do you Mari-Rivet pop rivets fit the hole pattern in these (https://rammount.com/products/ram-mari-rivet-4u)? Also, do you carry any other hardware that would work with these tracks for a blind install, besides the rivets? If not, what type of screw or screw with expansion nut to you recommended? I'd like to know the specific size of both. Thanks.
RAM does not currently offer a product for blind mounting a RAM-TRACK-EXA-5BU but there are specialty third party blind mounting nuts, you'd just need to make sure they're #8 thread pitch as that's the largest screw size that will pass through the Tough Tracks mounting hole.

What is the width of the tracks and can they be cut shorter?
Overall width of the track is .9" and yes they can be cut down to any length. If you are looking for shorter than 5" we do offer a 3" version: RAM-TRACK-EXA-3BU.
