Overview
The RAM-HOL-UN8B consists of a spring loaded cradle and 1" rubber ball connected to the back of the base. Included are extra easy access grip knobs, located on the back of the cradle for quick release of your tablet. The RAM-HOL-UN8B expands and contracts for perfect fit of most 7"-8" tablets. The X-Grip® includes a device tether recommended for outdoor applications. The cradle is compatible with handheld devices that will fit the dimensions listed below. It is important to verify the dimensions of your handheld device with a case/sleeve/skin when determining the overall size.

No, the holder for the Samsung Z Fold 3 is RAM-HOL-UN7BU when it's folded. If you're mounting it while it's unfolded, we'd recommend you measure your device and compare them to the dimensions listed under "Specs" on the product page, including the depth.

I noticed my tablet can be rotated back and forth about 15 degrees when it is in the X-Grip. Is that normal?
That type of movement is totally normal for the X-Grip. When being used for less rugged applications the small amount of movement allowed is not an issue, but sometimes when traveling at higher speeds or in bumpy environments it can be. If that is causing problems in your application, it is best to use the safety tether which will prevent that type of movement by creating tension between the phone and backplate.

Would this cradle fit an iPhone 11 as well - I need to interchange between an iPhone 11 and an 8 inch tablet.
This holder would not be able to keep any phones secure, unfortunately. However, the ball components are modular and interchangeable; if you select any alternate holder here, you can switch this out with the tablet holder whenever you are switching devices.
