Garmin nuvi 500 Motorcycle Mount on 2009 BMW G650GS

I have a 2009 BMW G650GS. Planning for an upcoming trip to TN, I acquired Garmin nuvi 500 and while looking at the available mounting solutions, I found there was no better mount that the RAM mount.
I found my RAM on Amazon. The mount itself is very sturdy and well made. Installation (despite the lack of any instructions whatsoever) was simple and easy. Personally, I used the plastic spacer inside the U-bolt, which, while tightening to what I see as the proper torque (opinions vary) conformed itself rather well to the radius on my handlebars. This way, there is no metal-to-metal contact in my installation.
The G650GDS does not have a whole lot of available real-estate when it comes to fitting stuff on the handlebars. This, combined with the fact that I also use BMW OEM handguards and a Ztechnik touring windshield, as well as a tank bag, complicates things further. The RAM mount, nevertheless, conformed well to my application and let me position my nuvi 500 exactly where it would be not only easily visible and accessible, but also without interfering with all the other "stuff" on the bike.
