datAction provide solutions in mobile computing with specific interests in the Transport & logistics, Health Care, Field Automation and Industrial areas. RAM mounts are used by datAction in their projecst where a mounting solution is needed. Two recent examples include a forklift truck and a small order picking cart. datAction had a requirement to attach graphic terminals on forklift trucks, so the warehouse operative was able to record its movements directly onto a WMS system using citrix. datAction used the Advantech MPC100E terminal and had to overcome some shortcomings. One of them being that the vehicle dock was not made for use on forklift trucks. The installation on the forklift had to be extremely rugged and by using the RAM Mounting system, datAction was able to provide a rugged solution which is now used on many forklift truck projects in an arduous environment.
